What should I test for?
Lead, PFAS, nitrate, arsenic, bacteria, hardness, iron, and chlorine taste are different problems. The right first test depends on your source and concern.
Which filter type fits?
Reverse osmosis is usually for drinking/cooking water contaminants. Whole-house filters are usually for incoming water, sediment, chlorine smell, and whole-home comfort.
City water or private well?
City reports can miss household plumbing issues. Private wells need owner-led testing. Your report path changes based on the water source.
